March 2018: The Big Half

26th October 2017 I lost my mum to cancer. It was a time of so many emotions I decided I needed a focus in my life and do something I’ve never done before. I asked my friend and forever support through all last years ups and downs Karen to write me a training plan to help me train with a purpose and with a goal. I never follow anything but I promised I would follow the plan. It was a new experience for me. It was stressful at times and it was difficult to squeeze in with coaching. I then fell ill after Christmas and was put on antibiotics and another inhaler. I had to come off my plan 😞. Guilt then hits and frustration I’m not keeping on my plan! acceptance I had to park the plan until I was better. End of Jan I managed to hop back onto the plan. I never thought I would like the structure but at the moment it helps. Today I completed The Big Half in memory of my beautiful, brave mum. She has left such a positive legacy to grab life and live to the full. There is no rehearsal, this is it. Take it, use it, enjoy the ride. In memory of Sylvia Carver beautiful wife, Mum and Grandma we love you and miss you 😘 This is her story : https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/debbie-forrest1 Thank you everyone for all the amazing donations and support.
